But after some fearful strikes and blows and enduring loads of psyonic magic dealt by kobolds, the heroes proved their strength and managed to overcome this hurdle. However this proved to be a much more difficult task than originally thought, as the party was ambushed by a dozen Xanathar members. After gathering the requested potions and after some more potions shopping the adventurers set on their way to deliver the potions. Ziraj agreed to find out information about the key, but in turn the party had to run a quick errand for him and pick up a shipment of potions from Skeemo Weirdbottle. She did not know any keymakers personally but pointed the party towards Ziraj the hunter. The party also asked Istrid about any information on keymakers. After several tries with a voluntary gnome's broken fingers, Shump seemed to get the hang of it. In the morning the adventurers had some time which Kara used to teach Shump some healing magic. The party headed back home for some well deserved rest. Her only advice for the party was to look for a key maker. Of course she was also sad that her family's crypt was ransacked, but unfortunately did not know anything about the key. Luckily Grinda had stored the body safely and even built a sledge for it for a more comfortable way of transportation. The surrounding was cleaned up well with no bodies anywhere, which made Shump slightly worried about the merrow's body, which he had put his eye on previously. After a short regrouping, the adventurers reached Grinda’s hut. ![]() After a short fight, in which our heroes proved once again why they are a force to be reckoned with, the party started on their way back to the docks through the city of the dead.Īfter a somewhat fumbled attempt to cross the wall, some party members found themselves across the wall while others were escorted out by city guards. It seemed that these duergar were Xanathar members here looking for the stone as well. A band of duergar appeared and clearly the adventurers had walked into an ambush. But when starting to exit the crypt, they felt strange forces trying to hinder them. Puzzled by their new findings they decided to head back to the docks to see if Grinda had some more information concerning the key and the ransackers. Instead they managed to find a mysterious shiny key. Unfortunately Grinda’s rat familiar's lifeless body also lied on the stairs and even after thorough searching the stone was nowhere to be found. The crypt had clearly been ransacked - the tombs of the Garloth family forefathers were smashed in and their bones were stolen. Once they reached the mausoleum they noticed the door was already smashed in and a trail of foot prints went into the crypt. But the adventurers used the relentless fog to their advantage and snuck across the wall to the City of the Dead without any major incidents. As it was late, the city of the dead was already closed with city guards posted at every gate making entry into the park more difficult than it could be. ![]() After having a short rest at the docks, the adventurers set off to find the stone of Golorr from Garloth family mausoleum in the city of the dead. ![]()
